Thursday was beautiful. Thank you so much for asking to go outside. I had such a wonderful day.
We said hello to the rose that you received from her Great Grandmother on the day you was born,
and investigated the local flora,
and picked pretty rocks,
and said “Hello” to the horses,
and “We miss you” to the creak daddy made over the summer…
just so you could squish your toes in the mud.
You clung closely to me as I walked down the steep hill,
then asked me to run with you down the road…
as fast as your little legs could carry you.
Then we were home again,
until it was time for the next adventure.
