I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. We live in a wonderful location. We are 2 hours from the beach and 45 minutes to the mountains. We are high enough to have seasons but not high enough to have to deal with snow all winter. This means that when the first snows of winter come we can take a short drive and enjoy all the benefits of the cold white stuff without having to live in it.
I wasn’t sure if Rose would remember snow as she was only 1.5 years old when she saw it last but she lite up like a light bulb when we mentioned where we were going. “SNOW! SNOW! SNOW!” was all she wanted to talk about. As soon as we drove by the first few half melted tufts of it as we headed up the mountain she immediately demanded to be let out of the car so she could go play. Luckily we are able to convince her to stay in her car seat until we made it to the cabin. There was so much fun to be had.
And snow to dump into a canoe.
